LAND, ANIMALS, MEAT, LEATHER

The Belcampo family of companies encompass Belcampo Farms, where organic meat is humanely raised, Belcampo Butchery, an Animal Welfare Approved processing facility, and Belcampo Meat Co. which runs the company's Butcher Shops and Restaurants—a total of six locations in California—and Belcampo Belize, an award-winning, world-class agrotourism destination.

I was contacted by the CEO soon after they secured land in Yreka, CA for their 20,000 square foot processing facility and asked to prepare a feasibility study for a Belcampo Leather arm of the company. I participated in early architectural planning for Belcampo Butchery, with attention to hide processing. I was charged with preparing a working business model and production protocols, identifying tannery partners, creating inaugural transportation & logistics models for hides, wholesale and retail sales models for Belcampo Leather, establishing budget cost categories across departments, collaboratively crafting early brand identity, and identifying 3rd party certification for ethically processed American leather.
