Production work samples. In roles as producer and project director I collaboratively design and oversee the creative, logistical and technical aspects of production — from events and reports to products and systems. I also lead creative production of site-specific installations in collaboration with technical experts and other artists.
From 2010-2016 I directed a national creative agency providing ethnographic research and its creative applications (site-specific installations, wayfinding and product design) to regional and international retailers, museums, manufacturers and environmental agencies (e.g. Whole Foods Market, General Mills, Smithsonian Institution, Healdsburg SHED, White Oak Pastures, and Natural Areas Conservancy) I also, built and operated a specialty retail shop in New York City celebrating material culture.
redesigning a legacy museum
Building on its very successful collaborations with industry and its schools of engineering, technology, medicine and science Drexel University established the Center for Cultural Partnerships to extend cooperative learning and teaching opportunities to students and faculty in the humanities, architecture and design departments.
I designed, directed, and authored qualitative visitor experience audit for a legacy Philadelphia museum. Supported the Center’s Executive Director in the delivery and management of this inaugural university-cultural institution partnership and expanded Drexel University’s Cooperative Education model to its Design and Architecture Schools.
From 2008-2010, I documented the history of tanneries in the US and prototyped a full production cycle of sustainable leather, from ranch life to custom furniture and costume designs for high-end clients. I used hides from legacy ranch White Oak Pastures, processed them in partnership with several North American family tanneries and partnered with furniture designers and makers to use and sell the final product.
