Most of my early professional work was ethnographic, having received doctoral training in anthropology. I later began crafting stories with materials, sounds and light to express what is beyond language. I still work in relationship with people but mostly, nowadays, with plants and soils whose lessons are far worthier of our attention.

about

Herbals

I have calendula flowers + comfrey leaves steeping in almond oil today. I'm making a tissue strengthening & healing oil for a breast cancer patient. Pine, rosemary and lavender to be added.

(Rosemary is warming and stimulates the lymph tissue. Pine contains compounds that have been successfully used to destroy cancerous cells and Calendula helps treat fibrocystic conditions. Comfrey is just all around great for our skin.)
