Most of my early professional work was ethnographic, having received doctoral training in anthropology. I later began crafting stories with materials, sounds and light to express what is beyond language. I still work in relationship with people but mostly, nowadays, with plants and soils whose lessons are far worthier of our attention.

Let The Cat Out of the Bag Day

October 5 is Let The Cat Out of the Bag Day.

A few years ago my husband and I both had big change on our near horizons. The momentum of a new cycle pushed itself irrepressibly forward and gave us good courage to just come out with it. I can’t even remember exactly what we left, what we said, or to whom. It was work-related and liberating. It’s now a cleansing holiday of sorts and celebration. Anyway, if anything has been gnawing at your heart, liberate it and go ‘head! Tomorrow is the day, get ready. get set.
