Most of my early professional work was ethnographic, having received doctoral training in anthropology. I later began crafting stories with materials, sounds and light to express what is beyond language. I still work in relationship with people but mostly, nowadays, with plants and soils whose lessons are far worthier of our attention.

Art In The Age

The latest from a new spirits company that my graphic designer friend Alston Taggart introduced me to early in the summer - she gave me a bottle of the tasty stuff with the painterly packaging. Rhuby is their most recent product. They took “a delicious garden tea with rhubarb, beets, carrots, lemon, petitgrain, cardamom, pink peppercorn, coriander, vanilla, and pure cane sugar….and turned it into a spirit.”

Looking forward to getting to Art in the Age next time I’m in Philly. Looks like a terrific shop.
