I later began crafting stories with materials, sounds and light to express what is beyond language. I still work in relationship with people but mostly, nowadays, with plants and soils whose lessons are far worthier of our attention.

Breadbox Cafe

I spent Friday afternoon tumbling happily around LIC and Jackson Heights with my pal Sarah O. who’s helping me scout for retail spaces. About ten years ago, during my arts-in-ed days, I was in Queens pretty much daily. It was fun to be back. On the way to meet Sarah I saw this Breadbox café. I think it’s been around for a while now, but the facade of 1,600 rolling pins are impressive nonetheless.
